Eric Schuman is excited to return for his fifth season leading our coaching staff! A Livonia native, Eric grew up swimming for Newburgh swim club. His swim career continued through undergrad where he swam for Kalamazoo College. Eric began coaching by returning to Newburgh swim club and working as assistant coach at John Carroll University in Cleveland.

Eric serves as assistant coach at BBA and UofD Jesuit High School and head coach of the women’s team at Troy High School.
In 2025, Eric celebrated his team winning the 2025 MHSAA D2 State Champions following a record-breaking performance by several swimmers against some of the most competitive teams in the state.
